The Biotech (Green Ocean and Blue Planet Initiative) Div., a research and development center, which is to commercialize the production of PHA for plant-based plastics (bio-plastics) using marine microorganisms (unicellular algae) by Tel Aviv University (Israel)'s technology in Japan with Japanese equipment, has been established in the Kyoto Research Park.
